Jeweler’s House

Muswell Hill, London

On this residential extension/refurbishment project for a jewelry designer, the external cladding and interior material selection drew inspiration from the owner’s craft.

For the kitchen, a rich palette was developed comprising brass fittings, red cedar cabinetry, grey-veined marble worktops and warm Farrow and Ball tones.

The new extension was clad in a textured blue-grey natural lime render to complement the existing red brick. Articulated steel details on the internal glazing and balustrades pay homage to the intricate metalwork exhibited in the client’s adornments, as well as the ornamented character of the period house.
